REPAIR: Using Badges to Increase Railway Sustainability

REPAIR is testing how a new digital method for recognising skills and activities called badges can be used to increase railway sustainability.

The International Union of Railways, UIC, has already developed specific measures railways can use to gauge their sustainability based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The UIC’s Railway Sustainability Index will serve as a benchmark measuring the railway industry’s commitment to fighting climate change and improving society.

We ’ve developed a prototype badge called “SDGs Aware” which recognises your commitment to increasing railway sustainability.

We would love it if you helped us test this idea by applying for the badge (SDGs Aware Badge Application).

We’ve developed a video with more information and instructions in several languages:

  • English
  • Slovenian
  • Spanish

Please contact us if you are interested in learning more about the project.

Together we can win the fight against climate change.
